Roblox just released a few unbelievably terrific new updates! Don’t know what they are? Read on!

• Models and Places were moved into your inventory and the catalog
• You may now comment on models and places
• You may verify your email address
• Builders Club members receive the new “Showcase” feature
• The “Browse” page was replaced with the new “People” page
• IN-GAME: New sparkles released
• IN-GAME: New ClickDectector object released
• IN-GAME: Faster Physics Engine
• IN-GAME: Less crashes

Place And Model Updates

Your places and models have moved to your inventory and in the catalog. With this update, you no longer have a bunch of models clogging up your profile page. Don’t worry though, your places still show on the side of your page. The main reason they are in your inventory is mostly for commenting. It’s a great way to get feedback on your places and models. See what other people think about them.

Another place update is the new “Showcase” feature. This feature doesn’t completely work yet. You see, there’s supposed to be a link directly under your places that will let you edit your showcase. That link isn’t there yet, but you can get to the page by taking this link.

Anyways, what does this feature do?
The feature is used to edit your places. You may use it to do the following:

• Edit the order in which your places show
• Delete places that are not needed

This update also put the word “Showcase” above all your places. To edit the order the places are in, just click and drag!

Email Verification

This feature is completely optional. But, it is pretty cool. To use this new update, go to your profile, and click on the “Verify Email” link. Once you do this, the email address your account was already on will receive an email with a link that will let you verify your email address.

You don’t even have to use a real email address create a Roblox account. But, it’s a good idea to do so. There are benefits for verifying your email address on Roblox. Here’s the small list of benifits:

• If you ever would like to reset your password, you may have a new password sent to your email address
• You receive the Verified Sign hat
• More benefits to come

Note that this update may not work for some emails. If you use Hotmail, try looking for it in the Junk Folder. Gmail is said to probably be the best email to use for this.

The “People” Page

If you haven’t noticed, the “Browse” page has been removed. Don’t worry, though. You may now browse places and models in the Catalog. To replace the “Browse” page, the “People” page has been released!

This new page is almost exactly like the “Browse” page. The only difference is that there is no more “| Places | People | Models |”. There’s just people. But like I said, you may now browse places and models in the catalog! Let’s go onto the next update(s).

In-Game Releases

The new in-game releases are amazing! Read on to find out about them.

The sparkle can be placed into any brick. To use it, you must be in either Solo, or Edit mode. Click on the brick you’d like to have sparkles on. Make sure your explorer bar is open. Keep the brick selected, and click on the “Insert” button at the top of the screen. Not the toolbox insert, but the insert in the explorer. Once this is done, a small window will come up. Look for “Sparkles” in the window, and double-click on it. And, voila! Your brick should now have purple particles coming out of it.

The ClickDetector object is another great feature. With it, you can create things that activate when a player clicks on it. To put this into your place, do the same as what you did with the sparkles, except click on “ClickDetector” in the small window.

The last updates are the following: Crashes are less likely to happen, and the physics engine is now faster.

The Top Hat Team is a group of Robloxian top hat owners. It’s a brand new project by yours truly! You see, I recently got the Purple Banded Top Hat. Then, it hit me. There are about 35 top hat owners in Roblox. I thought I could gather a few of them together, and start a club. This “club” or “team” has became the Top Hat Team.

Top Hat Team FAQ

Q: Do bunny ears count?
A: No. You must have a real top hat

Q: You can join with either the black, or the white top hat, right?
A: Yes. Either one, or both.

Q: Will we have meetings?
A: Yes. I plan to have the team meet with eachother to discuss things every once in a while.

To join the top hat team, all you have to do is send me a message on Roblox. Be sure to inform me on what two colors you want your uniform to be. Remember, you cannot join the team without a top hat. You can join with either the black, white, or both top hats.

Lately in Roblox, there have been a few new hats appearing. Many Robloxians are eager to find out what this new headgear is for. In total, there are 4 new hats. Here are some ideas that the new hats could be for:

• Some say that these hats hatch out of the easter eggs that were recently found.
• Then, other Robloxians say that the hats are for an April Fools’ joke. Everybody gets all excited and all, until the Roblox administrators reveal their great Robloxian joke.
• And, other people say that you will have to earn these hats. Whether it be a contest, a game, a mystery, etc.
• And the last popular idea is that they will eventually be for sale.

These ideas were found all over Roblox. In the forums, in hat comments, in-game, etc. If you have any ideas you’d like to suggest, you can probably share them in the Roblox forums.

Lately in Roblox, the “Telagrinch” has been having some fun. You see, Telamon has been going around leaving easter eggs. If you see Telamon at a place, and he leaves an egg, go and pick it up! Once you pick up an egg, you will see it in your hat inventory, and you can wear it! But, don’t forget, it is really hard to see Telamon at a place, giving hats away, no less.

This is the biggest story in Roblox right now. To be honest, I don’t have any egg hats myself, yet. So, be watching Telamon’s page! You never when and where he’ll strike next!

The following story was written by the Roblox user, Rug. I found his story in the Roblox forums, and I really liked it! So, I got his permission, and he said it would be okay if I use it for Roblox News! Enjoy!

T’was the first day of easter.
Robloxians played,
the Bloxxers were busy,
Login Tix were paid.
But, in spite of another wonderful day,
in all Robloxians would dance and play.
Up on Grinch Mountain,
The Telagrinch stared.
The noobs were all runing around all impaired,
“These noobs” said Telagrinch,
“Annoy me to no end!”
“I have to plan some way to make their fun end!”
So, he went to his workshop and crafted some ears.
“These ears shall awaken all of their fears!”
So, he went to a game and said “Follow me for a hat”,
and suddenly, the Robloxians crowded like that!
they said “GIVE ME AN EGG!” or “GIVE ME SOMETHING!”
and the Telagrinch played them on every whim!
And lo! All the servers he went to did clog!
A lag ridden mess, and the bloggers did blog.
“I can’t get a hat!” On flamer did flame
“That mean Telagrinch is surely to blame!”
And the forums were filled with complaints about eggs!
But, the server couldn’t take it and went out with a BANG!
Profiles were blocked, and admins were confused .
“How did this mess happen?” An admin mused.
And, the people who wanted and egg had no fun.
And, no one could stop it for the deed had been done.

It’s really good, huh? I’m not usually the best at rhyming. I would like to thank Rug again for letting us use his story. Thanks a million, Rug! And once again, keep an eye out on Telamon!

The past 2 or 3 days in Roblox have been very strange…

Most of you will remember a few months ago, when there was only one person known for wearing 2 hats at one time. This person is very well known here on Roblox News. This person is StrongBoy9!

You see, StrongBoy9 once accidentally found a very amusing Roblox glitch. The glitch to wear 2 hats at once. His glitch became known by many people in Roblox. Until one day… The day he received a new hat in a contest - The Helm of the Frozen North. He tried out his new hat, and liked it. Until he found out it didn’t come off! He tried many different things trying to get his hat off, but it just didn’t feel like coming off! He finally tried clicking “Take Hat Off” twice. This is how the two-hat glitch left StrongBoy9.

Anyways, about 2 or 3 days ago, this glitch returned! Except there are a few things different this time. For one, StrongBoy9 doesn’t have it. Secondly, dozens of people have it this time! If you browse around Roblox, you will find many different people wearing two hats!

Well, that’s about it for now. Except for the other news! I’d like to thank Flicky for this “In other news…” He gave me the idea to put this in my next post. So, in other news… Are92 has broke the Roblox record of the most place visits! His places have been visited about 327,000 times! Congratulations, Are92! Keep up the great work!

Yes, it’s true. The most best selling hat in all of Roblox. Gone. Zip. Nada. That’s the bad news. But wait, you haven’t heard the good news, yet! The good news is, that the Roblox visor is here! That ought to confuse you… Maybe. Anyways, Roblox has replaced the old Roblox Visor with a brand new black and blue Roblox visor!

This new visor has already been bought about 5,200 times. Wow! The old Roblox Visor has become more of a collector’s item, now that it’s not for sale. It’s name has changed to “2007 ROBLOX Visor”.

The old “Keep cool under this ROBLOX Visor.” hasn’t left, though. Roblox just moved the old phrase from the old visor, and put it onto the new visor.

Today - February 18, 2008 is the day that Roblox hits their 200,000 user mark! Congratulations, Roblox! Keep up the awesome work! The 200,000th Robloxian is… MonkeyFurry! A thing that I noticed about Roblox is how fast it’s growing. They seem to gain a very large amount of users every day, now.

I remember posting about the time when Roblox hit 100,000 users. I feel like that was just yesterday. That’s how quickly Roblox is growing. It’s absolutely amazing for a game that’s still in it’s alpha stage!

When I first joined Roblox, there weren’t even 40,000 users. That was back in July ‘07. I am the 39,672nd Robloxian. So, in about 7 months, Roblox gained over 160,000 users. Again, that’s amazing for a game that’s still in it’s alpha stage. Again (again), Congratulations, Roblox!

In other news… Keep watching Builderman’s page! 10 new places will be installed onto his account in 6 days. And, That seems to about wrap everything up for now! Oh, and a happy President’s Day to all!

Everyone already knows that the Builderman’s Place Design Contest has ended… Or has it? Yes, the voting ended a little while ago. Now it’s time for part 2! A secret team of Robloxian master builders are working on 10 very important places right now. These places are the winning entries for the Builderman’s Place Design Contest!

What’s happening is this. Pro-builders are taking the pictures of the winning entries from Roblox’s previous contest, and creating them on Roblox! Once these builders are finished with their creations, their newly designed places will be installed onto Builderman’s account! So keep watching Builderman’s page. And soon, you won’t see only one place on his page! The places are to be installed on Sunday, February 24.

Delta Corp. is a brand new Roblox fan forum. It’s run by Aeacus, Nate2800, and Jacobxxduel. I’d like to congratulate them on growing rather quickly for a new site! Congratulations, guys! On Delta Corp, you can do anything from talking anything Roblox, to requesting a custom-made script or model on Roblox.

I noticed that Roblox fan forums have gotten pretty popular. Delta Corp. looks like it will be very successful with how quickly it’s already growing. As of right now, they have about 40 users. Which is great for just starting in the past 2 days or so!

In other news, a few new hats are out! The list below shows the new hats.

1. The new Chef Hat is out for 35 Tickets.
2. The Cake Hat was for sale. It was 25 Robux.
