We all wondered if Roblox would ever have pants. We also wondered if we would ever be able to create long-or-short-sleeve shirts. Well, wonder no more, because our wish is now here! That’s right! Your Robloxian may now wear real shirts or pants that you created, yourself!

This update is truly amazing. The only thing that some people may not like about this new update is the fact that you must be in Builders Club to be able to upload full shirts and/or pants. But, don’t worry! There’s more! Check out the small list of other updates below.

• Ability to “favorite” places, models, and clothing
• New lighting model & specular mesh highlights
• More advanced moderation system

Sirloin - I found Roblox on a game site. I forget which, but I almost never saw it, the box was so tiny!

WonkaKid - How does it feel being able to help supervise the Roblox forums?

Sirloin - It feels good. I actually enjoy deleting the threads in a forum raid.

WonkaKid - Is Roblox your favorite online game? If not, what is?

Sirloin - Yes. The only other online game installed onto my computer is Kart Rider. But that doesn’t usually work…

WonkaKid - Who is your favorite Robloxian other than yourself?

Sirloin - Oh, tough decision… but if I could only pick one, I’d have to say Koopa. He’s an awesome guy. Just awesome. Next is Are92, and FFJosh. They’re awesome, too.

WonkaKid - What would you rate Roblox on a scale of 1-100?

Sirloin - I must say that a lot of things are missing. I give it an 82.

LuckyGlues - I saw the DogFight Series on the History Channel.

LuckyGlues - About an hour, I think. 2 hours for updates.

The Roblox Spring Block Party is going great! I plan to send in something of my own soon, but for now, posting is my job! The Roblox administrators haven’t done a parade for the party yet, so I’m doing one, myself.

This parade is to show a few entries that I thought were really neat. The Roblox developers said that they will be doing 3 parades for this contest. They haven’t done any yet, so this may be the first one there is. Let the parading begin!

Spring is here, and so is the Roblox Spring Block Party! I will be posting a parade of some of the awesome entries for this contest tomorrow.

Roblox administrator, ReeseMcBlox says that you can use any of the following items to create your contest entry: K’Nex, Lincoln Logs, Legos, Mecanno, Erector, Megablox, Wooden Building Blocks, Little Twigs, Sand, Cast Iron, Welded Steel, Fire, Brio, Tinker Toys, Garbage, Silly Putty, Old Tires, Origami, etc.

Once you create your entry, you must get a screenshot, photo, or video of it. My guess is that videos will probably boost up your chance of winning a bit. Note that you may also create your entry at a place in Roblox.

To submit your entry, you must visit the Image Entry page from the Roblox Events website. You may give up to 2 images of your design, but they must be on two different posts. If you do insert 2 images, be sure to call the first image “Username-1″, and the second one “Username-2″. Make sure that your images are both of the same creation. Also make sure that it is of a standard format, such as jpg, gif, png, and/or bmp.

Once you upload your image, be sure to write a small description of what your entry is. Roblox administrator, ReeseMcBlox says, “If your submission is a screenshot from a ROBLOX place, feel free to provide a link back to your place so that people can check it out!”

What’s a Roblox party without prizes? Nothing! That’s why there are some awesome prizes for this contest! Check out the list below!

• Every creator of a valid image on the Roblox Events website will receive a free Block Party hat
• All players that get their entries into the Roblox Developers’ Journal will receive both the Block Party hat, and a load of Robux
• The top voted entries on the Roblox Events website will receive the Block Party hat, and an additional People’s Choice hat
• Top news stories about the event will earn an extra load of Robux

Notes

Do not enter pictures that you found off the internet. All pictures found offline will be disqualified.

Try not to get your real face into your entry. All images with the entry’s creator’s face will get the face edited out of the photo. Making sure that your face is hidden will save the Roblox administrators some time.

Roblox just released a few unbelievably terrific new updates! Don’t know what they are? Read on!

• Models and Places were moved into your inventory and the catalog
• You may now comment on models and places
• You may verify your email address
• Builders Club members receive the new “Showcase” feature
• The “Browse” page was replaced with the new “People” page
• IN-GAME: New sparkles released
• IN-GAME: New ClickDectector object released
• IN-GAME: Faster Physics Engine
• IN-GAME: Less crashes

Don’t know what these new updates do? Read on.

Place And Model Updates

Your places and models have moved to your inventory and in the catalog. With this update, you no longer have a bunch of models clogging up your profile page. Don’t worry though, your places still show on the side of your page. The main reason they are in your inventory is mostly for commenting. It’s a great way to get feedback on your places and models. See what other people think about them.

Another place update is the new “Showcase” feature. This feature doesn’t completely work yet. You see, there’s supposed to be a link directly under your places that will let you edit your showcase. That link isn’t there yet, but you can get to the page by taking this link.

Anyways, what does this feature do?
The feature is used to edit your places. You may use it to do the following:

• Edit the order in which your places show
• Delete places that are not needed

This update also put the word “Showcase” above all your places. To edit the order the places are in, just click and drag!

Email Verification

This feature is completely optional. But, it is pretty cool. To use this new update, go to your profile, and click on the “Verify Email” link. Once you do this, the email address your account was already on will receive an email with a link that will let you verify your email address.

You don’t even have to use a real email address create a Roblox account. But, it’s a good idea to do so. There are benefits for verifying your email address on Roblox. Here’s the small list of benifits:

• If you ever would like to reset your password, you may have a new password sent to your email address
• You receive the Verified Sign hat
• More benefits to come

Note that this update may not work for some emails. If you use Hotmail, try looking for it in the Junk Folder. Gmail is said to probably be the best email to use for this.

The “People” Page

If you haven’t noticed, the “Browse” page has been removed. Don’t worry, though. You may now browse places and models in the Catalog. To replace the “Browse” page, the “People” page has been released!

This new page is almost exactly like the “Browse” page. The only difference is that there is no more “| Places | People | Models |”. There’s just people. But like I said, you may now browse places and models in the catalog! Let’s go onto the next update(s).

In-Game Releases

The new in-game releases are amazing! Read on to find out about them.

The sparkle can be placed into any brick. To use it, you must be in either Solo, or Edit mode. Click on the brick you’d like to have sparkles on. Make sure your explorer bar is open. Keep the brick selected, and click on the “Insert” button at the top of the screen. Not the toolbox insert, but the insert in the explorer. Once this is done, a small window will come up. Look for “Sparkles” in the window, and double-click on it. And, voila! Your brick should now have purple particles coming out of it.

The ClickDetector object is another great feature. With it, you can create things that activate when a player clicks on it. To put this into your place, do the same as what you did with the sparkles, except click on “ClickDetector” in the small window.

The last updates are the following: Crashes are less likely to happen, and the physics engine is now faster.

The Top Hat Team is a group of Robloxian top hat owners. It’s a brand new project by yours truly! You see, I recently got the Purple Banded Top Hat. Then, it hit me. There are about 35 top hat owners in Roblox. I thought I could gather a few of them together, and start a club. This “club” or “team” has became the Top Hat Team.

Top Hat Team FAQ

Q: Do bunny ears count?
A: No. You must have a real top hat

Q: You can join with either the black, or the white top hat, right?
A: Yes. Either one, or both.

Q: Will we have meetings?
A: Yes. I plan to have the team meet with eachother to discuss things every once in a while.

Lately in Roblox, there have been a few new hats appearing. Many Robloxians are eager to find out what this new headgear is for. In total, there are 4 new hats. Here are some ideas that the new hats could be for:

• Some say that these hats hatch out of the easter eggs that were recently found.
• Then, other Robloxians say that the hats are for an April Fools’ joke. Everybody gets all excited and all, until the Roblox administrators reveal their great Robloxian joke.
• And, other people say that you will have to earn these hats. Whether it be a contest, a game, a mystery, etc.
• And the last popular idea is that they will eventually be for sale.

These ideas were found all over Roblox. In the forums, in hat comments, in-game, etc. If you have any ideas you’d like to suggest, you can probably share them in the Roblox forums.
