ROBLOX Interview with TwoShue

Posted on April 14th, 2010 in General | 6 Comments »

Interview with TwoShue

I have decided to interview TwoShue because of his amazing talent to build and script on Roblox.

You might know him from his’ Hide n’ Seek’ or his amazing ‘Freeze Tag,’ and when playing his Freeze Tag you better tag or be tagged.

So here is the Roblox interview with TwoShue!

Interview with TwoShue
  • How did you find Roblox?
  • A friend told me about it.
  • How long have you been playing Roblox?
  • Since late December of ’09.
  • What would you rate Roblox on a scale of 1-100?
  • I’d rate 75.
  • What is your favorite thing about Roblox?
  • Building.
  • Who is your favorite Roblox player?
  • Elucid
  • What is your favorite Roblox place?
  • I don’t visit other places. I don’t normally play Roblox.. I just like the building aspect of it. So.. I would say my Hide n’ seek.
  • How did you get the idea of making Hide and Seek, and Freeze Tag?
  • Because they are fun real life games :D
  • How did you get it so popular?
  • By building fun games with great maps to play them on.
  • Do you have any tips for Roblox players?
  • Start out with something simple. Build maps with detail.. Take your time.. you can’t rush a great map. Most of my maps take about 1 week.. thats 40 actual working hours on each map. So the more time you spend on it the better it will become. Don’t use free models and/or decals if at all possible. Make it your own ;)
  • What do you think of Roblox 5 years from now?
  • I won’t be playing Roblox 5 years from now.

Thank you TwoShue for spending your time to answer a few questions for Roblox News.

Interview: ROBLOX Filmmaker – Excelerate

Posted on July 22nd, 2009 in Filmmakers, Interviews | 8 Comments »

excelerate

So, I just did another interview today. You may very well have heard of Excelerate. He is well known on ROBLOX mainly for his filmmaking abilities, but he’s also a really great builder, and an amazing ROBLOX clothing designer. I first heard about Excelerate when he won the ROBLOX Rox contest back in March. His name came up again when I found his entry for the ROBLOX trailer contest – which ended up being a winning video.

WonkaKid: Tell a little bit about yourself.

Excelerate: I am one of the top clothes makers/sellers in ROBLOX, and I’m known for my filmmaking abilities. I also love to spend time building big projects and unique places

WonkaKid: How did you find ROBLOX?

Excelerate: I was really bored one day, so I went to YouTube. I was searching for some cool games to play, and a ROBLOX video popped up. My whole perspective on gaming changed from then on.

WonkaKid: How long have you been on ROBLOX?

Excelerate: I had an account before Excelerate, Who joined December 2007, So, I have been playing for about 19 months now.

WonkaKid: What would you rate ROBLOX on a scale of 1-100? Explain why.

Excelerate: I would rate ROBLOX a 90 easily. Why? Because it is far more unique than almost any other game on the internet. There is so much customization, this is one terrific and addicting game.

WonkaKid: Who is your favorite ROBLOX player? Explain why.

Excelerate: When I was first starting to play, I was inspired by many players but I would have to say my favorite player in ROBLOX would be Nintendoboy4, Because I looked up to him when I was newer, and he has been a great friend ever since.

WonkaKid:
What is your favorite ROBLOX game? Explain why.

Excelerate: My favorite game is a recent game by Anaminus called Tunnel Cruiser. I love it because of its unique and amazing quality, and its just overall addicting fun. It reminds me of the older type of classical games.

WonkaKid: What was the most important moment you’ve had on ROBLOX?

Excelerate: My most important/best moment on roblox was actually on my 2nd day playing. I got extremely lucky and my place made it to the front page. Being so new, I was extremely overjoyed and surprised at the time.

WonkaKid: If you were given full ROBLOX administrator powers for 24 hours, what would you do?

Excelerate: I have one thing I would just love to do. Get rid of all of the site errors on ROBLOX to make it a more pleasant experience. There is nothing I would want more than to make it much more convinient.

WonkaKid:
You’re a great ROBLOX filmmaker. Do you have any tips on the subject for our readers?

Excelerate: My main tip would be to Practice. I practiced for a long time to get where I am now, and I have been able to make some pretty cool things with my ability. Some other general tip(s) would to be, Make sure you have the proper equipment to do great film-making, if you are seriously trying hard to succeed.

WonkaKid:
How do you picture ROBLOX 5 years from now?

Excelerate: I see ROBLOX becoming a massive game with Millions and millions of players, turning into such a successful and entertaining game as many other popular online games are these days. I hope to come back in the future and see how things have developed. I have strong belief in ROBLOX.

ROBLOX Celebrates Summer… a bit late?

Posted on July 22nd, 2009 in General | 12 Comments »

summer

We all know that Summer began a full month ago… as of today, actually. But, that doesn’t mean it isn’t too late to celebrate it! At least, on ROBLOX it isn’t. ROBLOX just released an awesome new Summer 2009 cap, along with a few medieval accouterments, and a handful of other hats. Why don’t you read on and see what’s new?

New ROBLOX Hats

New ROBLOX Hats

First of all, there’s the new “Summertime 2009 R&R&R“, which I do have to compliment. This is probably the best cap ROBLOX has made so far. Secondly, there’s the Black Bowler hat, which is similar to a top hat, but doesn’t quite meet all the resemblances. Then, there’s the Ranger Hat. I’ll say the Ranger hat is simple and inexpensive, but isn’t really “cheap.”

Beginning with the new medieval release, there’s we have Sir Pwnsalot‘s helmet. Definately the best knight helmet of ROBLOX. Next, we have the royal legendary crown of King Arthur, an extremely handsome addition to the medieval hats. Replacing the Red Crown of Ozymandias, ROBLOX just released the Dark Cerulean Crown of Ozymandias. I already traded in a few ROBUX and bought one of these, myself. It is officially the most expensive hat on ROBLOX, selling at 100,000 tickets.

Lastly, not really meeting summertime or medieval themes, we have the Real Rockin’ Roller hair. Two sweeped bangs that don’t really meet up with a lot of other ROBLOX hairdos.

Review: The Legendary SS. Goodins

Posted on July 21st, 2009 in Place Reviews | 3 Comments »

It’s been a while since the SS. Goodins was first revealed, but it is still probably the most well built ship in all of ROBLOX. The SS. Goodins was built by two ROBLOX master builders: Gusmanak and WaterLollies. I talked with the creators of the ship, and they told me a few things. For one, the SS. Goodins took about 3 months to build until completion.

ROBLOX Goes Hat-Crazy

Posted on July 19th, 2009 in General, Place Reviews | 11 Comments »

If you play ROBLOX on a normal basis, you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say ROBLOX really has been releasing loads and loads of hats. It’s beginning to seem as if a new theme of hats comes to ROBLOX almost everyday now. The most recent release of hats was things of the stone age – launched yesterday.

The new stone age hats include the following:

ROBLOX also hints at releasing a new line of Aztec hats – possibly coming later today. Nothing has been said about what the prices will be, so that’ll just have to be waited on. Oh, and… don’t ask about the mad scientist hair.

Okay, so by now you all are wondering what in the world has been going on in the past eight months. I kind of gave the site a break… a really, really long break. And now, I think it’s finally time to get back to work. I plan to start posting on a frequent basis from now on. I’ll be doing several new interviews with the big guys over the next few days. Also, be in expectation for new place reviews. I’ll be on the look-out for the coolest and most awesome places on ROBLOX over the next few days.

Roblox Updates

I think a good way to begin all the new Roblox happenings would be to tell about the new updates. The biggest recent Roblox update would have to be the trade system. (more…)
